This Woolie is a representation of the 60-year old chimp named Bill, one of the oldest in captivity. He was rescued in 1957 at age 10 from a traveling circus and has since spent his life at the Sequoia Park Zoo in Eureka, California until his recent death in June. He acquired quite a following of admirers for his paintings and even appeared on the David Letterman Show.

I had SO much fun creating Bill...and ended up just loving him, lol! I bet....but only a bet...that a chimp could be ALMOST as entertaining as an Airedale! Carol
