Cruising Down the River...

This guy is relaxing and snoozing after contemplating Nature as he floats in an Adirondack boat. Hewas also  found on eBay in an auction that ended May 13, 2010.

Adirondacks Minidales

I was inspired during a recent RV stay in the beautiful Adirondacks of upstate New York to create this serie of Camping Minidales for auction on eBay. The auctions of the seven groupings end on September 7, 2009.

A simple search at eBay using the term "Wooliedales" will display the auctions.

"Rescue Mom" Kangaroo, Joey and Airedale Pup on eBay

It’s hard to resist the sensation of feeling warm “fuzzies” when you realize the extent to which rescue moms go to heal the wounded. Whenever I look on these figures I am filled with a deep-seated gratitude for all those involved in this work. My hope is that this sculpture will bring the same awareness to many of you looking on.

Auction ends August 1, 2009.

Bring in the Clowns

Bring in the Clowns!

An Airedale was popularly described as having “clownish wit,” and there is hardly a dispute about it. So do, indeed, “Bring in the Clowns,” whether it be following one of life’s disasters, big or small, or simply just for being entertained by a superb performance!

(eBay auction beginning 1/11/2008)

Curley Minidale - Snowflake Bentley

Once in a while my Jessie -a 50 pound Airedale- thinks she’s a lap dog. Just the other night, while the snow was falling once again…. and in spite of the fact that we stop grooming our dogs sometime in the Fall to let their fur grow into a thick winter coat, she must have liked the idea of cuddling up on the down throw I had put over me on the lounge chair. She jumped up for a warm addition to her coat.

As I was stroking her, I noticed how deeply my fingers were penetrating her thick curly fur, and I began wondering why I had never sculpted an Airedale Woolie in full coat before. It looked so luxurious! Maybe it’s because I don’t have curly wool in the rusty color I usually use!
