Best Woolies

Carol will have a booth at the Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival on September 8 and 9, 2007 at the Champlain Valley Expo in Essex Junction, VT. This is the second year for Wooliedales Etc. displaying at this festival. Last year, she won first prize in the handcrafted wool product competition.

In preparation for the booth display, we have prepared a slide show that will run continuously on a PC. It contains about 200 photos that show Carol's variety of work over the years

Click here for a small portion of that slide show.

Enjoy!!

Bill The Chimp

This Woolie is a representation of the 60-year old chimp named Bill, one of the oldest in captivity. He was rescued in 1957 at age 10 from a traveling circus and has since spent his life at the Sequoia Park Zoo in Eureka, California until his recent death in June. He acquired quite a following of admirers for his paintings and even appeared on the David Letterman Show.

You can read his fascinating story at http://www.sequoiaparkzoo.net/index.htm

A Woolie Slideshow from Photobucket

I tried this new browser based Adobe remix tool on Photobucket to create this short slide show. It's a neat tool, still in beta testing, but it has lots of potential because of its ease of use.
